Railway Commons is an exciting new project in the Historic Railway district in Whitefish, MT. The project is based on replacing an existing home with a larger multi-use building that has commercial space on the first floor and residential units on the second f oor. The various uses of the building
along with exterior decks and patios will create an interactive and lively atmosphere throughout the day and year. Keeping in style wih the residential look and feel of the neighborhood by using traditional materials, forms and color, was a key component throughout the design process. One of the important features of Railway Commons is to take advantage of the great views towards the mountains and the surrounding historical character though large areas of glass and entrances to the building in multiple locations.
